Odex, Irresponsible parents and more

Love it or hate it, Odex has finally did their score at animation scene in Singapore. Doing their bid to track BT users downloading animes and taking the law into their own hands, they've utterly angered quite alot of anime goers, although its not likely they'll give up, but they'll most likely start going around provoking people with that act of theirs.

Well other than Odex, parents also tops my list. As of currently tension grew thanks to my biological father who is totally irresponsible about what he does, and also what he thinks. One my think he's an out going father, but thats solely because they've never put themselves in my shoes. Heck he's one smoking, swearing asshole that will never make you feel proud of. Period. Whatever he did, he have definitely pissed everyone in the family off, and not even me would want to take care of him when he's retired.

Heck, sometimes I wonder why I had such a irresponsible father in the first place. Although its better for me to suffer alone than to let others suffer. Either way, from what he's doing it'll come with a future of suffering ahead of him, and I'll certainly won't be a part of what he'll be suffering from. (日本語> 私は私の父がちょうど時々死ぬことを望い。 ま...今、私絶望た。)

As of my other troubles, my projects that is going to come to me again, hope that 12 week project list won't kill me before I actually start to plan on what to do. Anyway that sums up the post. Man, its a pain to be one of the living sometimes.

Damn internet connection and upcoming exams.

As the title implies, the internet connections been laggish lately, especially when navigating sites from the US, Japan and Europe. Heck, thanks to that I have trouble downloading stuffs, reading news from BBC online/blog sites and playing mmo's. Eitherway, it has been rather persistent for the past week, so I could expect that to begin dropping till it hits rock bottom (cable's not dedicated in singapore, not to mention we use Transparent IPs for crying out loud =_=)

Anyway, the upcoming papers on the 20th and 23rd's bugging me, its rather theory based and all so the stress is rather real. Oh well, that's all for the moment, untill I can find more news to report other than Anime Expo @ US or Ken Akamatsu's interview videos that I found on youtube. Meh, life's a pain.

Talk about Japanese...

Whats been bothering me besides the usual projects and model kits are, of course, taking up japanese. Although I am not really adapted to using it, or even speaking it every now and then, I am still trying my best to take that up. However, it was recently, learning new vocabs and words to use in japanese has been a headache.

Thing is, the structure's huge, although I am starting to gasp certain ideas, however applying them is of another use. Here's a few examples;

ラジャ (Ra-ja) - Meant roger, just realized that when i searched thru the online dictionary.
理解(りかい, ri-ka-i) - Understand, Understood.

Sentence structure wise, it would usually be you-verb-object-tense but there's many ways of constructing it, I'll show two examples of it.

俺も理解英数、でも心配ね。(ore mo rikai eisuu, de mo, shin pai ne.)
It translates into "I understand english, so don't worry."

日本語が難関じゃない。(Nihongo ga nankan janai)
Japanese is not difficult.

Well that simply sums it up... a little that is. But its more than enough I guess.

Thieves these days...

Guess that thieves these days will do anything to get money, including stealing buttons for money. But still, stealing a push button like that requires alot of skill considering its locked pretty tight to prevent it from popping out. Anyway aside from that, the usual happened to me, aside from the usual hectic situation school gives, I mean, coding web services and all sucked pretty bad (Its easy to understand but a little complicated to get what you want outta it.)

Plus the exams draw nearer and nearer, not to mention I have 4 projects yet to finish fully due to the fact that my program's full of bugs that I have yet to polish up heck, I am sick of writing;

localhost.Services m = new localhost.Services();

line all over again like every time I want to add a new function. Its a pain.

That just concludes my usual post, hopefully more posts on anime related stuff to come soon. I mean after all there's ton of animes that I've been waiting for that has yet to be released.

MG Destiny Gundam confirmed, more gundam kits to come

You could never have more gundam kits don't you? Perhaps I am wrong but still, being a constant gundam kit fan, I wonder however. Oh well, being a constant visitor on gunota, I caught news of MG Destiny being the 101st release of MG kits (I did pre-order my Turn A btw, it's special in its own way.) so I am not too surprised aside from the fact that they bothered to give us Destiny instead of Infinite Justice, Gundam X, DX, Victory(V1) or even V2.

Eitherway, Gundam kits or not, I do have intentions of getting myself a HGUC Blue Destiny Unit 2 due to the fact that I'm a huge B.D fan. Besides, model kits require alot of patience and time to finish, and I have plenty on my hands before I hit NS(National Service, you can input this into Wikipedia to find out its meaning). Thats all I suppose, which concludes my today's post aside from being the worst day ever.

Cosplay event @ Downtown East

Meh, hectic day due to the fact that I took the wrong shuttle bus to the area, as a matter of fact I've actually traveled the entire way back to the north area of singapore before I realized where I was heading to. What irony eh? Eitherway I couldn't salvage the pictures I took during the cosfest so I won't be uploading any as of now. Until I can find time to restore pictures, otherwise I'll just be rotting away at home silently. As per usual that is.

Also, some might know I'll be heading for the next cosplay event soon and hopefully I'll be able to work out a way to finish my Lexaeus's cosplay costume. But until then nothings certain and most likely shrouded in mystery that is yet to unveil itself to me.

Oh btw, a new Gundam 00 trailer is up, head to dannychoo.com and find it in his latest post or you can use this link here to jump straight into his otavids section.

Gundam 00

If you all have been Gunota, you'll notice a new wave of gundam franchise in on the way what really strikes me recently is how the newer gundam series looks closer to rip off, especially how some designs from the upcoming series, Gundam 00, reminds me of the Arbalest from Full Metal Panic!

Still, I have to admit that the time progresses people will eventually find themselves running out of ideas and maybe forced to modify old designs to suit future series correctly. Well, perhaps some may prove me wrong but still personal opinions sometimes really drives me on just to investigate more and more into it. If anyone of you are wondering on where to get the teaser video for Gundam 00, it is located at youtube for non-japanese residents, but for japanese residents (you guys should already know about it by now lol) you can access that thru the main site itself. For those who don't know anything about Gundam 00's plot, here's a rip from Wikipedia and some similar webpages out on the net (Please note that it contains a bit Japanese);

The series will be set in 2307 AD of the Gregorian calendar. During this time, fossil fuels became exhausted and humanity must rely on three large-scale solar power systems that are in the hands of the three major powers on the planet: The Union (based on the United States Of America), The People's Reform League (comprised of China, Russia and India) and Europe's AEU (based on the European Union). Constant warfare around the globe lead to the formation of a private military organization, called Celestial Being, dedicated to eradicating war with the use of four humanoid machines called Gundams.

"Two Powers, One Hope"

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 follows four mobile suit pilots termed Gundam Meisters (ガンダムマイスター Gandamu Maisutā). The protagonist is 16-year old Setsuna F. Seiei (刹那(せつな)・F・セイエイ), a quiet young man who grew up in a war-torn Middle East, being of the Lebanese Kurds descent, and a Gundam Meister since two years ago. He will pilot the GN-001 Gundam Excia, a high mobility mobile suit effective in melee combat.

Well, it seems nice enough, but what I can say is, lets hope it won't be a disaster amongst the fans. I'll be posting more stuff on the cosplay (Its on this sunday) by next week or so due to project schedules so stay tuned for anyone who wants to read more on Cosplay events.

Cosplay events

I'm sure some of you have heard, or maybe had even joined one before, of cosplay. As much as you guys understand the term, cosplay, its actually derived from the term, Costume Play. Although many people felt that it is weird dressing up as anime characters and such, but there's still a fair bit of people doing that, especially amongst the teenagers (mostly fan girls)

Also, some of you may have heard of Danny Choo, owner of DannyChoo.com, who famous for cosplaying as a storm trooper in Japan, but still, who ever have thought of Cosplaying outside of Japan? Perhaps Taiwan or even the United States, just to tell you guys, Singapore have cosplay events too, even though its not as big as those held in japan, us, taiwan or even europe, it's certainly good enough for Singaporeans as we too have our own good players(and bad ones). Just to sum it up, I've uploaded a few pictures on cosplay events and I'll drop it in here as of now.
